The San Jose Sharks take time out each season to participate in the years largest fundraiser for the Sharks Foundation The Applied Materials Sharks Foundation Golf Classic.

"Applied Materials has a long history of supporting the San Jose Sharks and their efforts in the community. This year's golf tournament benefits multiple charities, right here in our own backyard and we are proud to play a part and contribute, said Joe Sweeney, Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, Applied Materials.

Events such as the annual outing at Cinnabar Hills Golf Course fund the thousands of dollars in donations made every year by The Sharks Foundation.

Its a great opportunity to raise a lot of money for the Sharks Foundation, said Sharks Executive President and CEO Greg Jamison. In addition, it lets a lot of fans and corporate partners spend time with the players and get to know them as individuals.
